Are you considering a pre-owned Porsche model in Indianapolis, IN? You may be wondering whether a pre-owned model is just as fuel-efficient as a new model. If the model was under previous ownership and accrued some miles on the odometer, does it still have relatively reliable fuel economy?
Fuel Efficiency of Pre-Owned Porsche Cars
Modern Porsche vehicles are designed with performance in mind. Even a model that’s several years old will have comparable gas mileage to a current-year model, assuming that the pre-owned model received routine maintenance at a dealership. This is why you should aim for a Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) model to ensure high fuel economy.
Why Aim for a Certified Pre-Owned Porsche Car?
You can be confident a certified pre-owned Porsche car will maintain its original fuel economy. This is due to the following factors:
- CPO models must contain OEM parts. This means all replacement components are from the Porsche manufacturer.
- The pre-owned model has undergone a 111-point inspection from a certified Gold Meister technician.
- CPO models cannot be more than 13 years old and cannot have more than 124,000 miles on the odometer.
- A history check must not reveal any major collisions
Vehicles purchased from a private seller and even from a dealership’s non-CPO inventory may not satisfy the above criteria. Your gas mileage can especially suffer if some of the original parts have been replaced with aftermarket parts from an independent auto shop.
