How to Prepare for a Road Trip

If you’re like a lot of other motorists, you may be planning to take a road trip this holiday season.  While you may be excited about hitting the road, you might be wondering what you should do to prepare for your upcoming adventure.

The first thing you should do is make sure you have the right vehicle for your trip.  If your current automobile isn’t big enough or comfy enough, why don’t you consider trading it in for a 2018 Porsche Macan?

If you’re going to stick with your current car, you should have it serviced before you pull out of your driveway to start your trip.  Make an appointment to bring your vehicle into our Indianapolis, IN Porsche service center now.  Having your automobile serviced will give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing your car is ready to handle the rigors of the road.

The next thing you should do to prep for your trip is plan your route.  Be sure you leave enough time to stop regularly, especially if you’re traveling with young children or older adults who may need to stretch their legs every few hours.

Once your route is planned, it’s time to put together an emergency kit in case you get stuck along your route.  A flashlight, reflective triangles or flares, jumper cables, non-perishable snacks and drinks, and a blanket are a few things you may want to put in your emergency kit.

When your emergency kit is stowed in your vehicle, you should pack activities that will keep everyone entertained during your drive.  Whatever you do – don’t forget the chargers for everyone’s electronic devices, including your own.
